BET EXPERIENCE 2025 Reclaims the Crown in Los Angeles
From soundstage to soul shift—BETX wasn’t just a weekend. It was a cultural takeover.
LOS ANGELES, CA – From June 5–9, 2025, the streets of Downtown LA pulsed with legacy, fashion, and future at the BET Experience, affectionately dubbed #BETX2025. Curated by Black voices, for Black futures, this five-day activation rewrote the rules on what it means to celebrate, uplift, and amplify Black culture—loud, proud, and premium.

🎶 OPENING NIGHT CONCERT – JUNE 5
📍 Hollywood Palladium
Theme: “Legends Lead, The Culture Follows”
BETX 2025 launched with a sonic bang as Buju Banton headlined the Opening Night Live, performing under a canopy of unity and ancestral power. The energy? Sacred. The audience? Lit. From Caribbean queens waving flags to South Central kings in custom fitteds, the rhythm echoed freedom.
Special Appearances:
• Koffee surprised the crowd during Buju’s “Champion” performance.
• Snoh Aalegra opened the night with a soulful R&B set.
Fashion Energy:
Afro-futuristic glam. Flowy silks, crystal-covered mesh, mesh durags, statement locs, and maximalist accessories ruled the night. It wasn’t just a look—it was a language.

📍 LA Convention Center - BETX Arena Court
Theme: “Hoops & Heat: Where Legacy Meets the League”
🔥 Two teams. One crown. Culture collided on court as artists, influencers, and athletes battled in the BETX Celebrity Basketball Game.

With free entry, thousands poured into BETX Fan Fest for a weekend of music, empowerment, casting calls, fashion shows, tech activations, and cultural reconnection.

• GloRilla, Pretty Ricky, Keri Hilson, Crime Mob, LaRussell, Anycia, and Amerie brought down the house—performing in the round and in the crowd.

• Waymakers Men’s Summit featuring Deion Sanders, Hill Harper, and Master P
• Entertainment Industry Q&As with execs from BET+, Lionsgate, and 50 Cent’s G-Unit Studios
• Open casting calls for Tyler Perry Studios + preview screenings for The Chi, BMF, Red Clay, and Divorced Sistas

Think Harlem Renaissance meets cyber-LA. Fashionistas debuted chrome grills, box braids with tech threads, throwback jerseys paired with Balenciaga boots, and vintage Baby Phat reimagined for 2025.
